Welcome to AnyCan

1% of the world's population suffers from Parkinson's disease. Parkinson's disease is a progressive, degenerative neurological condition that affects a person's control over their body movements And it has with no cure.

WHAT IS PARKINSON'S

Parkinson's disease is classified as a progressive neurological disorder. Symptoms of the disease are caused by the progressive degeneration of nerve cells in the midbrain. This results in a deficiency of dopamine, a chemical messenger (neurotransmitter) necessary for smooth, controlled movements. Symptoms appear when approximately 70% of dopamine-producing cells are no longer functioning normally. Parkinson's disease cannot be cured.

As the condition advances, the symptoms of Parkinson's disease can worsen, and it can become increasingly difficult to carry out daily activities without assistance.

TREATMENT

Parkinson's disease is incurable, but treatment aims to manage symptoms, improve quality of life, and slow disease progression. Maintaining mobility is of paramount importance. Ongoing research is aimed at developing new therapies and interventions to improve the lives of those living with the disease.

MOBILITY AND ANYCAN

Parkinson’s Patients in different stages of the disease (up to stage 4). and all participants showed improvement, average walking speed improvement of 25% . We also have an indication that “STEADY”  might reduce or minimize Freezing of gait (FOG) and dyskinesia as well as improve overall mobility.

THE SCIENCE BEHIND IT

We have performed a POC which included a TUG test as well as 6MWT on Parkinson’s Patients in different stages of the disease (up to stage 4) and all participants showed improvement, with an average speed improvement of 25% on the six-minute walking test. We also have indication that “STEADY”  might reduce or minimize Freezing of gait (FOG) and dyskinesia as well as improve overall mobility, presumably because of cueing as the device uses metronome cues. However, this is yet to be established by further research which is underway
